A typical Ethiopian family dream come true; the sky is the limit.

(Ashebir) To me, there is so much more to this picture than meets the eye. I see a snapshot of life’s journey and realization of long-held ambition. The parents represent typical Ethiopian parents and stayed true to their everyday self. I particularly love the necklaces, “meqenet”, “niqsat” and the Ethiopian flag-styled head cover, the rose the mum held and her hair cut… The father with bottled up emotions and his face telling volumes about his life. Also the new graduate “standing taller” and inches closer to his aspirations. I see the stories of many fellow Ethiopians in the picture. Man, spread your wings and fly.
